THE WORK-READINESS TRAINING PROGRAM

The Work-Readiness Training Program is a training program designed to prepare Vietnamese college students aged 18 – 25 in joining the workforce upon their university graduation. Students participating in this course can expect to be involved in both learning and working on a practice project relevant to their career choice.

Empower self-learning

Learning includes self-learning courses concentrating on two subject matters: Technology and Project Management, coupled with ongoing mentoring sessions with U.S. professionals , with the focus on preparing the students for professional career development.

Provide practical working experience

Practical working experience allows students to demonstrate what they have learnt in a business environment.

The Pilot program was launched in the winter of 2019-2020, focusing exclusively on the first group of Delta college students at Sivita Dorm in Saigon, Vietnam.

PROGRAM OBJECTIVES

  1. Offer work-readiness skills training for Vietnamese college students aged between 18 – 25 who can demonstrate academic achievement, the ability to write coherently and who can express what they write orally – all in English.
  2. Provide students unique skill sets vital in a competitive job market as well as teach students how to learn independently. Through the self-learning courses and working with U.S. professionals, they can discover the opportunities to pursue learning outside of academic environment and learn to develop long-term skill sets, not short-term solutions in order to find jobs.
  3. Create a platform where students can apply what they learn more practically through a real-life project. The project would not only build up the students’ experience, allowing them to bring their creativeness and talent for the good of their community. AASuccess will bring an extensive network of business supporters and educators from both Vietnam and US together to challenge, and empower our students to become capable professionals, responsible citizens, and agents for positive change.
