developing a connection with nature

The Go Green Project is created to spread awareness of climate change through an educational and hands-on experience. One thing people could connect to easily was growing plants and developing a connection with nature. Our goal was to establish this connection naturally, by making the whole process of gathering plants, materials, and need-to-know information free and accessible. With this, we hope the simple act of starting a home garden will get more plants off the shelves and into people’s homes.

ABOUT US

Hello, we are Aashee Balani and Leo Lue, two middle school students in the greater Washington Metropolitan Area who want to increase the number of home gardens in the DMV area. With this project, we hope to get more people to start planting, thus reducing our carbon footprint. By taking the first step and growing plants, we are making a lasting difference. The overarching goal was to provide not only an enjoyable experience for everyone, but spark for a continuous drive for action against climate change.
