After leaving the field of hospitality, the Hyatt Regency Bethesda, Mr. Lam joined Insignia, Inc. the largest US Commercial Building Management Company at the time where he took care of several office buildings as a building services supervisor.
In 1997, he became Chief Engineer in charge of a portfolio of 4 buildings totaling of 1 million square feet. He also supervised a 6 million renovation project of an 117,000 sqft building, the Tysons Pointe Building in Tysons Corner, Virginia. Then he went through a commissioning duty to populate that building. He was awarded the Chief Engineer of the Year award by Insignia, Inc. in 2000.
In 2003, Insignia, Inc. merged with CB Richard Ellis, Inc. to become CBRE, Inc, the largest Commercial Building Management Company in the world. Mr. Lam got involved more on Management and Construction activities as a Senior Chief Engineer. He was the recipient of the Award of The Engineer of the Year by CBRE, Inc.
In 2011, Mr. Lam joined the Company of Long and Foster, Residential Division at the Mclean Office, Virginia as a licensed RE Agent (part-time job) and got involved in the activities of a Residential Realtor. Today, Mr. Lam is still working for CBRE, Inc. I joined the RE Company of Spring Hill Read Estate also as a part-time Realtor.
As a licensed Engineer and Realtor, Mr. Lam brings to BCLC Global his 22 years of experiences in the field of Commercial and Residential Real Estate in the area of the Metropolitan Washington DC.
